Bolian Filtration - Principle of Diaphragm Electrolytic Method and Diaphragm Bags Patent

The diaphragm bag is an indispensable filtering medium in the electrolytic process for both soluble and insoluble anodes. It is commonly used in fields such as electrolytic nickel, electrolytic copper, and electrolytic nickel. The diaphragm bag divides the electrolytic cell into the cathode and anode sections, preventing the mixing of the products from both electrodes. The products from the two electrodes can either be the same or different.

The function of the diaphragm is to separate the gas products of electrolysis at the two electrodes so that they can be collected separately; it provides the necessary conditions to prevent certain ions from reaching the corresponding electrodes for electrochemical reactions; it prevents impurity ions from moving toward the cathode and accumulating; and it avoids the mechanical mixing of suspended anode mud particles into the cathode deposit. The application of diaphragm electrolysis has made it possible to innovate certain hydrometallurgical processes for extracting non-ferrous metals and to produce high-purity non-ferrous metals.

Bolian Company's diaphragm bags hold a patent for "A Woven Diaphragm Cloth for Electrolytic Nickel and Its Weaving Method." In addition, Bolian offers a variety of diaphragm bags, including high permeability, low resistance, corrosion-resistant, and low permeability types. The products ensure a consistent liquid level difference, and every 20 diaphragm bags undergo an inspection to guarantee product quality.
