Belt filter cloth joint processing is a crucial step in the production of filter cloths. Especially in the filtration process, the handling of the filter cloth joint not only affects the filtration efficiency but also directly impacts the stable operation and lifespan of the equipment.
Basic Steps for Belt Filter Cloth Joint Processing
Preparation Work Before starting the joint processing, it is essential to prepare the necessary materials and tools, including but not limited to: stainless steel clips, sealant, stainless steel wire, protective cloth (if needed), etc. At the same time, ensure the work area is clean and tidy to prevent dust and debris from affecting the joint quality.
Joint Processing – Clip Installation According to the actual requirements, when installing the clips, ensure that the teeth of the clips are continuous and that the pin pass smoothly. The connection points of the clips should be straight and flat to ensure that the filter cloth operates well after installation.
Joint Processing – Applying Sealant After confirming that the clips are correctly positioned at both ends of the filter cloth joint, ensuring a tight fit between the clips and the filter cloth, the next step is to apply the sealant evenly on the clips. The amount of sealant should be appropriate. The purpose of applying the sealant is to protect the clips or protective cloth. During this process, make sure the sealant thoroughly penetrates the fabric and is firmly fixed.
Protective Cloth Installation and Adjustment If the filter cloth is equipped with a protective cloth, this should be spread over the joint area. Use Velcro or sewing methods to secure it in place, protecting the joint from material abrasion and environmental influences.
