Bolian Filtration Solutions Co., Ltd.

Terms Related to the Filter Cloth Unit

The unit terms of filter cloth include air permeability, pore size, density, thickness, grams, and breaking strength. Please refer to the definitions and descriptions below for a comprehensive overview of these unit terms.

I. Density

Format: warp density × weft density (e.g., 220 × 152 roots / 10 cm).

Units: Commonly used in China: roots / 10 cm, ends / 10 cm. commonly used abroad: roots / inch, ends / inch.

Conversion: 1 root / 10 cm = 0.254 roots / inch.

II. Air permeability

Units: Commonly used in the following formats:

- China: L/m²/s@200Pa

- Europe: L/dm²/min@200Pa

- United States: cfm@125Pa

Conversion: 1 L/m²/s = 0.6 L/dm²/min = 0.197 cfm, based on actual measurements.

III. Grams/Weight

Units: Commonly used in China: g/m², commonly used abroad: oz/yd²(1g/m²≈0.03oz/yd²)

Conversion: 1g/m2=0.03oz/ yd2

IV. Thickness

Units: Commonly used in China: mm, commonly used abroad: μm.

Conversion: 1mm=1000μm

V. Breaking strength

Units: Industrial standards in China: N@5*20cm(test area), abroad: KN/M

Conversion: Theoretical value 50N/5cm = KN/M, subject to actual measurement.

BOLIAN adheres strictly to the technology in the production processes. Each process is meticulously tested in accordance with ISO9001 standards to ensure that each product batch and each piece of filter cloth meets the requisite quality testing standards.
