In actual operation, slurry is evenly distributed onto the moving surface of the filter cloth via the feeding system. As the filter cloth moves forward slowly, the negative pressure generated by the vacuum chamber below the equipment sucks out the liquid part of the slurry through the filter cloth. The liquid then travels through discharge channels below the cloth into the vacuum box and is further removed through vapor-liquid separators and other components, completing the initial separation of liquid from solids.
Solid particles gradually accumulate on the surface of the filter cloth, forming a filter cake layer. In subsequent steps, the cake can undergo multiple washings and secondary suction to improve the purity of the solids and reduce residual liquid. Finally, the filter cake is transported to the discharge end, where it is completely removed by a scraper or wire roller—achieving continuous, stable, and efficient filtration.
